Fred "Perico" Avila has lived in Williams, Ariz. his whole life. Since 1935. He served his country in Korea. When he came back he started painting signs the old school way. Free hand. Perico is one of the friendliest guys you'll ever meet. And he knows his history. Want to know what life used to be like in Williams and northern Arizona? Ask Perico.

Rise and Shine.

Coffee. Bathrobe. Slippers. In the driveway. It's way to early. Rise and Shine!

So many hours to go.

Why That Gun?

Arizona has some pretty unique gun laws. It's not uncommon in some places to see quite a few guns in holsters when you walk the isles of your local grocery store. And it's legal to carry a concealed weapon just about anywhere (provided you take a class).  Jay Redfeather carries a single shot pistol with him at all times. In his vest pocket. Just in case.

It's a small gun. But it's still a gun.
